Grace Gardens joined the Higginbotham Funeral Homes of Texas in 2013, five years after being built. It is a beautiful and spacious Funeral Home in Woodway, Texas, serving the surrounding communities. Our vision is to operate a full service funeral home, catering to each family’s individual needs and desires, always going the extra mile with kindness and compassion. Grace Gardens offers the highest level of love and care to all we serve.

Our Heritage
The Higginbotham family moved to central Texas from Mississippi around 1880. In 1881, Joseph Higginbotham founded the family’s first general stores in DeLeon and Dublin, named Higginbotham Bros. & Co. These stores sold bulk goods, hardware, and lumber, and built furniture and coffins.
As funeral services began to shift from having services in the deceased’s own home, The Higginbotham stores added on chapels and even began to build funeral homes. The company’s first separate funeral home was in Comanche. They also ran ambulance services for their communities until 1976.
In 1999, Higginbotham Bros. & Co. split and the hardware and general stores were sold. The company changed its name to Higginbotham Funeral Homes of Texas, and in the last 30 years acquired several additional funeral homes.
With over 139 years in funeral service, Higginbotham Funeral Homes of Texas is committed to serving its communities with outstanding funeral service at its 14 locations across Central Texas.
