Jeffrey Allen Melton

Jeffrey Allen Melton passed away peacefully with family by his side on March 15, 2023. Jeffrey was born on September 24, 1954, in Shreveport, LA to B.G. Melton and Joan Smith Melton.  Funeral Service will be 1:30pm, Friday, April 7th at Grace Gardens Funeral Home with Brother Roy Marshall officiating.

Jeffrey was an exceptional individual that coped with his special needs in the best way possible. He loved his music, action movies, the Mavericks and the Dallas Cowboys. He never met a stranger and loved to engage people in conversation.

He was preceded in death by his parents B.G. & Joan Melton, brother David Melton, sister-in-law Donna Melton, Aunt Linda Smith, and niece-in-law Molly Melton.

Jeffrey taught us unconditional love, to embrace diversity, to take advantage of the small things in life and to play your music LOUD! To his sister Vicki, he was her buddy.

He is survived by his sister Vicki Koon, brother-in-law Karey Koon, nephew Sol Melton, grand niece Stella Melton, Aunt and Uncle Gwen & Charles Arnet, cousins and a bunch of friends.

Our sincerest thank you to Vera Watson for her care and love for Jeff in his last 15 years.
