Winfree David Tate

Winfree David Tate, age 83, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021.  He was the son of W.J. and Della Tate of Fairfield, Texas.  He graduated from Fairfield High School and Baylor University and served in the US Army.  He was employed for several years as credit manager for Fed Mart stores in Houston, Texas.  He retired in 1996 from Waco Discount Carpet Company, where he served as sales manager.

His greatest joys were his grandchildren and his puppies, Fifi, Prissy, and Phoebe.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter; Michelle Cunningham Wahlberg.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Wynell Tate; brother, Leslie Tate; daughters, Johnna Priest, Gina Boyer, Laurie Broesche’; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

As were his wishes, no services or memorials will be held.
