Willis Sikes, 84, of Waco, passed away February 18, 2023 at home after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Willis was born June 12, 1938, in Marlin, Texas to Elec Nolan and Valley Vernal Hay Sikes and grew up in Marlin. He entered the U.S. Air Force military service at 17 years old. He served for four and a half years. He served in South Korea and was honorably discharged.
Willis worked 20 plus years for the United States Postal Service in Norman, OK. He enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Doris Miller Mixed League in Waco.
Willis was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Sue Sikes.
Survivors include his sisters; Barbara Young and Patsy Willis. His step children; Teri Kimball, Pam Bross, Lisa Webb and Jon Webb. Willis leaves behind his nephew, retired US Army Captain, Robert Rochell, that was like a brother to him, and multiple nieces and nephews.
