William "Bill" E. Mosley

May 9, 1955 — February 15, 2024

Lorena, Texas

After a tremendously hard fought battle against cancer, William E. Mosley was welcomed home by Jesus on Feb 15, 2024.  He was surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation will be held at Grace Gardens Funeral Home in Woodway, Texas on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m.

Bill was born in Waco, Texas to the late William Edward (Bill) and Wilila (Guyton) Mosley.  He was raised in Waco and graduated from Waco High School.  Bill’s career began working as a journeyman pressman at the Waco Tribune Herald followed by employment at General Tire, then many years as a machinist at Alcoa (formerly Huck Manufacturing) before retiring.

Bill was a devoted and caring husband, father, bonus Dad, Pops, son, brother and loyal friend.   He was a quiet man of few words yet the way he lived his life and his many acts of kindness spoke volumes to the type of man he was.  Forever steady, with that slow, easy smile and twinkle in his eye, he was someone everyone could count on.  Bill was very humble when it came to his numerous talents.  He was a skilled hunter and passed his love of the great outdoors to his children and grandchildren, while also inspiring many other youth by enthusiastically teaching hunter safety education through Texas Parks and Wildlife.  Wonderfully creative, Bill was a master woodworker and created beautiful furniture and works of art for family and friends to cherish and enjoy.  He was most happy in the woodshop, outdoors on a hunt, frying fish or preparing his famous barbecue chicken for a family gathering,  relaxing on the patio, enjoying a cool beverage listening to music and dancing with his wife, Teresa.

Bill loved family.  He was cherished and loved dearly by his kids and grandkids.  They all agree – he was the BEST Dad and Pops they could ask for.  He was kind, honest and lion hearted.  He valued every day and it is with his exceptional courage and faith he fought for each day these last years.  When faced with his challenges, his approach to life was a step at a time, a day at a time and a prayer at a time.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, half-brother Richard Mosley and wife Glenda, sister-in-law Linda Mosley, and mother-in-law Donna Robinett.  He leaves behind his loving wife of 22 years, Teresa Mosley; children Brian Mosley and wife Katy, Kim Woodul and husband Lex, Greg Dodge and wife Kelli, and Marlena Dodge; grandchildren Will and Mary Mosley, Arden, Reins and Fitz  Woodul, Hunter and Hayden Dodge, and Carson Wiltse; brother Wendell Mosley; sister Paula Mosley Jenson;  father-in-law Jesse Robinett; brother-in-law Keith Robinett and wife Deanna; sister-in-law Michele Anderson; and many special nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Bill’s courage, kindness, love and exemplary example of a Life Well Lived will continue to inspire us and we will carry him in our hearts forever.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Mohit Bansal and Dr. James Mason for their kindness and excellent care given to Bill.

For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made in Bill’s honor to the Shriners Children’s Hospital at https://donate.lovetotherescue.org

Go rest high on that mountain faithful servant.

"As the deer pants for the water brooks,
So pants my soul for You, O God." - Psalm 42:1
