William J. “Bill” Kocurek Jr., age 79 of Waco, passed away, Saturday January 1, 2011, at a local nursing home. Graveside Services will be 2 pm, Monday, January 3, 2011 at Robinson Cemetery with Father Cyril officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm, Sunday January 2, 2011 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. The Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 7pm.
Bill was born July 20, 1931 in Circleville, Texas to Louise and William J. Kocurek Sr. He graduated from Granger High School. While serving in the US Army he met Jean Wade during a USO dance. They were married May 16, 1953. He was a self employed paint contractor for many years in the Waco area. He enjoyed
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Jean Wade Kocurek on December 27, 2006.
He is survived by his children; a son William J. Kocurek III and his wife Mary Ann of China Spring; a daughter Paula Jean Strickland and husband Robert of Sugar Land, Texas; a son Christopher Kocurek and his wife Janet of Red Oak, Texas; Six grandchildren William J. Kocurek IV and Marilyn Kocurek, Christie and Jennifer Strickland, Andrew and Caitlynne Kocurek and one great granddaughter Gayle Perez.
