Wanda Fay Fonville
December 21, 1940 - June 17, 2013

Wanda Fay Pannell Fonville, of Temple, died Monday, June 17, 2013. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home in Waco.

Wanda was born on December 21, 1940 in Onley, TX to Calvin and Mary Jane Pannell. She married her loving husband Joe Arthur Fonville on February 10, 1961. She was a resident of Temple, TX. She graduated from Throckmorton High School in 1958. Wanda was a stay-at-home mother while her kids were young, and later worked as a Nursing Assistant and Housekeeper. She loved spending time with her husband, children, and all of her grandkids whom she loved to spoil and take on wild adventures that their moms would never have allowed! She also had a passion for animals, which she would love and nurture.

Wanda spent her last two years at Temple Living Center West where she formed new friendships with the residents and visitors. She served as the Resident Council President and adopted and cared for the facility cats. Wanda was cared for by a wonderful staff whom she quickly embraced as her second family, often reciting stories of their kids as if they were her own grandchildren. She was a very proud of them, praising and thanking them every day.

Wanda is preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Catherine Marie Bailey.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Arthur Fonville; daughters, Sandra Broadus, Tammy Johnson and Karen Miller; son, Joseph Fonville; eleven grandchildren, Cari, Stephanie, Zach, Lindsey, Cati, Nathan, Josh, Alyson, Jessica, Mallory, and Jace; and eleven great grandchildren, Cade, Kaylee, Mackenzie, Caden, Jaxen, Zoe, Zaylie, Chrisily, Baylee, Jorin, and Mackenzie.

The family would like to thank the staff at TLC West for their unending devotion during her stay and would also like to thank the members of Ave T Church of Christ for transporting mom to worship each week. This meant the world to her.

Grannie Wanda was loved by all and will be dearly missed.
