Virginia Marie Teer

November 10, 1936 — January 9, 2025

Hewitt, Texas

Virginia Marie Teer, affectionately known as Ginger, and later in life Mimi, was born on November 10, 1936, in Bynum, Texas. She passed away peacefully at her home in Hewitt, Texas, on January 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Ginger’s life was marked by profound dedication, both in her career and to her family.

After graduating from Bynum High School, her professional journey saw her spend many gratifying years as a volunteer at Providence Hospital. Her commitment to serving others was paralleled by her service at Central National Bank, from which she eventually retired. Yet, her most treasured title was that of a loving mother and later a loving grandmother, a role she held dearly after her granddaughter‘s birth, which prompted her to retire in celebration of this new chapter in her family’s life.

In her quieter moments, Ginger found solace in the pages of books and took delight in exploring the country through travel. She also enjoyed the thrill of the slot machines at the casino, where laughter and joy abounded. Above all, her warm and loving personality, endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bob, with whom she shared 67 wonderful years; son, Scott and daughter-in-law Laneé; grandchildren, Sydney and Zachary, along with Zachary‘s girlfriend Alyssa Moore; her dear sister Margaret Messer; sister-in-law Effie Frank; and her cherished niece and nephews, Marie Messer, Chuck Messer, Todd Frank, and Eric Frank.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Euin Frank, and her brother-in-law Charles Messer, all of whom she held dearly in her heart.

The family invites friends and loved ones to gather in remembrance during visitation services to be held on January 18, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Grace Gardens Funeral Home & Crematorium in Woodway Texas.

As we reflect on the life of Ginger, let us celebrate the love, laughter, and unwavering spirit that she instilled in all of us. Her memory will be forever etched in our hearts, a testament to the profound impact she made in this world.

In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution to Community (Providence) Hospice.

A private graveside service and burial will be held at a later date.
