Alice Virginia (Belver) Guderian, 92, of Lorena passed away, January 13, 2017 at a local nursing center. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, January 16, at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Heath Kirkwood officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Dr.
Virginia was born July 13, 1924 to William Frank and Alice Bell (Binkley) Myers in Pocahontas, AR. After spending time in Michigan and other states, Virginia moved back to Lorena in 1952. She had worked as a beautician for over 40 years. Virginia was a member of First Baptist Church of Lorena for over 60 years. She loved taking care of her yard and land at “Wolf Hollow Ranch.” Virginia loved camping and being outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Frank Myers; husband, Les Belver; husband, J.K. Guderian; son-in-law, Steve Sparkman; and grandson, Daniel Dorris.
Virginia is survived by daughters, Sharon Sparkman and husband, Doug Durham, Sandy Rogers and husband, Don, Shirley Beeman and husband, Randy, and Debbie Dorris and husband, Ricky; nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Sparkman, Jr, Scott Sparkman, Brad Beeman, Daryl Dorris, Dustin Dorris, Christopher Pritchett, Hunter Dreyer, and Dylan Dreyer.
The family would like to give heartfelt thanks to Texas Home Hospice and Virginia’s nurses, Tammy, Misty, and Sharon. The family would also like to thank the staff at Ridgecrest Retirement Center, especially, Richard Jones, Jude Boswell, Mary and Candace, your genuine care for Virginia made a difference in her life.
