Velma was born July 15, 1924 in Waco, Texas. She married Ernest Clemons in 1944. She was a lifelong Baptist. She was a member of the Waco Gunfighters Association and was a member of SPJST in Elk.
Pallbearers will be Jim Arner, Pete Arvizu, Chris DeLaCruz, Raye Lynch, Larry Martinez, Troy Steakley, and Buford West.
She is survived by 3 sons; Roy (Kookie) Clemons and his wife Anita, Charles Clemons and Carl Clemons. Sister; Jeanette Gross; Granddaughter Shannon West and her husband Steve. 2 Great Grandchildren; Steven West Jr. and Destany West. Niece; Kathy Hawkins and several nephews. Longtime friend Joe Waldon of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. The family would like to thank Providence Hospice and Providence CHF Clinic.
