Vasile Gorgan

Vasile Gorgan, 68, of Mt. Calm was called to his Lord and Savior, Friday, July 24, 2015. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2015 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home with Brother Jim Drysdale officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Antioch Cemetery near Mt. Calm. A visitation with the family will be 5 - 7 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Drive.

Vasile was born in Salaj, Romania to Traian and Floarea Gorgan on May 25, 1947. He was the second oldest of ten siblings. Vasile married Lidia Marton December 29, 1974. In 1983, Vasile and his children fled their home country and sought asylum in the United States. Vasile was a dedicated worker and was always willing to help anyone in need. He loved to fish, hunt, and spending time outside. Vasile cherished his children and grandchildren; they were his life. He will be missed dearly and is greatly loved by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his son, Claudiu Gorgan; mother, Floarea (Pop) Gorgan; father-in-law, Samoila Marton; and nephew, Christian Marton.

Vasile will be eternally remembered by his, wife, Lidia Gorgan; son, Alin Gorgan and wife, Joyce; daughter, Tabita Maris and husband, Samuel; daughter, Arnisa Ramsower and husband, Ryan; son, Abniel Gorgan and wife, Corina; daughters, Mary Gorgan, Darlene Gorgan, Zena Gorgan; ten granchildren, his father, Traian Gorgan, and numerous siblings, nieces, and nephews, and close friends.
