She was born on December 16, 1980, in Lewisville, Texas. Tonya lived her life in the Central Texas area, graduating from Abbott High School and earning her associates from Blinn College to become an X-ray technician. She enjoyed her work, but her co-workers and patients even more. She loved taking trips to Galveston to watch the dolphins and walk along the beach where her mom and step dad, Margie and Bob Diggs, would take her as a little girl. Tonya adored animals and her dogs too. However, her pride and joy was raising her son, Hunter Cobb, spending quality time with movie and game nights and summer trips to the pool.
Ton-Ton’s infectious smile and warped sense of humor would warm hearts and create smiles and laughter. She loved to decorate for the holidays and looked forward to family time that the gatherings would bring. Her deviled eggs and sausage balls will forever be missed.
Tonya is preceded in death by her dad Robert “Bob” Diggs and father Walter “Joe” Cotton, sisters Jan Skelton and Beverly Short. Tonya is survived by her son Hunter Cobb; mother Margie Diggs of Lorena; siblings Cindy & husband Ray McCune of Hewitt; James & wife Kathryn Meyer of College Station; Danny & wife Debbie Cotton of Chandler; Mike & Sharon Cotton of Ft. Worth; Brenda & Randy Padgett of Chandler; nephew Garreth Taylor; nieces Jennifer & husband Ryan Olson; Josey Meyer and Kasidy Meyer; Carrie & Frankie Mendoza; Christy & Mark Dean Stines, and many more. Tonya has one great niece, Kenna Olson. Tonya touched many lives including many friends she calls family. All of these and others not listed were dear to Tonya’s heart.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to Providence Hospice in her name.
