Tim Garmon age 63, of Moody passed away at his home Monday September 24, 2012. Funeral Services will be 10AM Thursday September 27, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Moody with Rev. Denton Popelka and Rev. Larry Henry officiating. Interment will follow at Post Oak Cemetery in Oglesby, Texas. Visitation will be from 6 to 8PM Wednesday September 26, 2012 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.
Tim was born on March 23, 1949 in San Angelo, Texas to William and Ruth Garmon. Tim served in the US Navy as an aircraft mechanic and later married Betty West of Oglesby on May 25, 1974. He retired from Scott and White Hospital where he worked as a power plant operator for 26 years. Tim was a member of Willow Grove Baptist Church in Moody, Texas.
He was a loving husband and father, who was always available to help his friends and family when they needed anything. He was a strong hard working man that turned into a big kid anytime his grandchildren were around. Tim loved to garden, spend time with his family, and play fantasy football. He will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his father Clayton Dickenson, mother Margaret Ruth Dickenson, brother Billy Garmon.
Tim is survived by his devoted wife Betty West Garmon of 38 years, son Steven Garmon Brashear and wife Cindy of Nebraska, son Travis Timothy Garmon, Jr. (TJ) and wife Jennifer of Temple, daughter Jamie Taylor and husband Jason of Moody, grandchildren – Jessi Brashear, Hannah and Kinsley Garmon, Jenna and Jase Taylor. Brother Kenneth and wife Ann Dickenson of Moody, Brother Donald and wife Ann Dickenson of Cibolo, Sister Glenda and husband Bill Hart of Colleyville, Sister Marilyn and husband Jerry Tennant of Colleyville, Sister Karen and husband Barry Houck of McGregor.
