Thomas Robnett

May 8, 2018 — September 6, 2011

Thomas Edwin Robnett, 92, of Speegleville, died September 6, 2011 at St. Catherines.

Edwin was born May 8. 1919 to Thomas Earlie Robnett & Nannie Eulalia in Midlothian Texas. He was one of four siblings, who all worked together to survive the hardship and trail of the war and depression era. As a result, Edwin developed a strong, no-frills character and an appreciation of what is truly important in life.

He was a gunnery instructor in the U.S Navy from 1943 through 1945, when he returned to Texas to raise his family. In 1942 he married Louise Adamike and loved her until her death 57 years later. They were the proud parents of two sons, Ed and Curtis Robnett.

After retiring from Sears in 1947, Edwin was free to pursue some of his many interests. These include fishing, square dancing, pecan harvesting, and building custom dog houses. He enjoyed woodworking and could repair almost anything.

Edwin lived a full rich life. He was a devoted husband, a supportive father, and loyal friend. He will be missed by all who knew him and held forever in the heart of his family.

Survivors include sons, Ed Robnett and wife, Kathie, of Waco, Curtis Robnett and wife, Laurie, of Hewitt; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; one brother; 2 sisters; numerous nieces & nephew, and his two much loved dogs.

Memorial may be made to the charity of your choice.
