Thomas Lewis, born on October 17, 1948, in Roswell, New Mexico, passed away peacefully in his home on February 24, 2025, at the age of 77.
Thomas dedicated over 25 years of his life to his career as an engineer on the Santa Fe Railroad, a position that exemplified his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. He was admired by colleagues and friends alike for his dedication to his profession and the integrity with which he carried out his work.
In addition to his successful career, Thomas pursued EMT training, reflecting his desire to serve and help others in times of need.
Outside of his professional life, Thomas found joy in fishing and karaoke, activities that not only brought him happiness but also created memories with family and friends. His enthusiasm during these moments showcased his fun-loving spirit.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Lewis, along with his daughters, stepdaughter, and stepsons. Thomas’s legacy will continue through the love and memories shared with his family.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Vesta Stephens, and his father, Edward Lewis, alongside his brother, Edward Lewis, Jr.. Their lives and the lessons they imparted will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved Thomas.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Nancy; daughters, Patti Stacey, Susan Curry, Tammy Boyd, Lori Munoz, Amie Salaz; step children, Jim Barben, Brenda Elysavich, Robert Barben; siblings, Steven Lewis, Larry Lewis, David Lewis, and Cindi Lewis.
