Biography

Tanjhnua Rena Culp, 56, of Waco, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Providence Health Center. Visitation with the family will be 5 - 7 p.m on Tuesday, November 22 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Drive. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. Burial Services will follow at Crawford Cemetery.

Tanjhnua was born on December 6, 1959 in Kokomo, In. She traveled and lived in many places including Iowa, Washington, South Dakota, and Japan while her father was enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, before she moved to Waco, Texas. She married John David Culp on April 14th, 1979 and had 2 children before she was diagnosed with stage III Hodgkin's lymphoma in 1987 and survived to be able to have 2 more children. She worked at Kmart from 1994-1999 before deciding to stay at home to take care of her children; She began to work again at EMSI in 2005 where she made many close and lasting friendships. She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking meals and baking desserts for loved ones, going to the beach and on cruises, anything at any moment to just get out of town! She loved doing things for others to make them smile, and was always there for anybody who needed any help. She loved playing and spending time with her grandchildren, if anyone knew her she was a kid at heart and it made her heart soar to see them smile.

She is proceeded in death by her Grandparents, Raymond and Celia Mishler, Uncle Donald Mishler, and grandparents Lester and Leta Crain. Survivors are husband, John David Culp, Daughters: Amanda Rena and Laura Ashley, Sons: Johnathan Duane and Joshua David, Sons-in-law: Michael Blackwell and Tyler Niswanger. Parents are Duane and Leta Mishler, Sister, Theresa Marie Bennett, Sister-in-laws: Cindy Schrader and Sharon Keltner, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many friends.
