Suzanne Anderson Morgan, 79, passed away on May 6, 2011. Susie was born May 21, 1931 in Kansas City, MO and died in Waco, TX where she had lived for the past 3 years.
A graduate of Drury College in Springfield, MO, she and her husband lived in Springfield, San Antonio, Dallas, Kansas City, and St. Louis. Susie spent her working career at Union Electric and Saks Fifth Avenue in St. Louis. She also owned a knitting shop for a time. Following the death of her husband, Vance Morgan, Susie lived out her retirement years in Navarre, FL and most recently in Waco, TX.
Suzanne was a loving and fun person to be around and was remarkably accomplished in the needle arts. She enjoyed her family and, having no children of her own, embraced her two step-daughters, two nieces, and two nephews like her own children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Helen Anderson, her adoptive parents, George and Ethyl Hayden, her loving husband, Vance Morgan, and her sisters Betsy Anderson Fowler and Sally Anderson Quinn.
She is survived by two step-daughters, Ann Hopkins and Linda Sandbach of St. Louis; by two nieces, Kathy Kelley of Waco, TX, and Susie Quinn of Columbia, MO; and also by two nephews, George Fowler of Indianapolis, IN, and John Quinn of Merry Hill, NC.
A memorial service is being planned and she will be buried next to her husband, Vance, in O’Fallon, IL.
