Sue Patterson

Marilyn Sue Patterson, 68, of Waco, passed away on June 27, 2012, with her family by her side. Visitation has been planned for Saturday, June 30 at 12:00 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home in Woodway with a memorial service at 1:00. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco.

Sue was born on July 1, 1944, in Hawkins, Texas. She attended Sabine High School and continued her education at Kilgore College. She retired from Midway ISD in 2003.

Sue never met a stranger, and she never lost her sense of humor. She enjoyed family, friends, Baylor girl’s basketball and The Texas Rangers.

Sue is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Tommy Patterson; sister and husband, Cynthia and Elzy Prater of Bryan. Children; Shane Patterson and fiancé, Molly Oglesby of Waco, D’Ette and, husband, Brad Craig of Crawford and Kane and, wife, Kimberly Patterson of West.Mother-in-law, Polly Jo Patterson, Sister-in-law and husband, Anise and Steve Cunningham of Ola, Texas. Grandsons Austin, Pearson, Case and Memphis; granddaughters Nina, McCall, Dani and Riley. Special niece, Brandi and, husband, Layton Wiemers of Bryan. Several nieces, nephews and special friends.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, James and Vickie Thomas and father-in-law, Jack Patterson.

Pallbearers Wesley Hillian, Kyle Dean, Donnie Hall, Chris Morgan, Lance Bell and Ike Ingram. Honorary pallbearers; grandsons, Austin Patterson, Pearson Craig, Case Patterson, Memphis Patterson; nephew, Elzy Wiemers and friend, Chris Hillian.
