Stuart Forde

Stuart Forde, 77, of Crawford, TX, passed away on September 5, 2023 at his home after a sudden heart attack. He was surrounded by his loving wife, Virginia Forde, and family members upon passing. A visitation will be held from 11-1pm on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.

Stuart was born July 20, 1946 in Inglewood, CA to Stuart Arnold, Sr. and Ruth Forde.  Growing up in California, he enjoyed surfing, cars and dirt bikes.  He married the love of his life, Virginia Marie, on November 24, 1991.  The couple was married for 33 beautiful years. They shared many adventures together, traveling the West Coast, roller blading, riding bikes and taking care of their beloved pets.  The two later moved to Crawford, Texas in 2006 after retirement to be close to family.

Stuart loved crossword puzzles, working in the yard on his John Deere tractor, and keeping his garage pristine! He also had a love for fishing, antique shopping, and most of all spending time with family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Stuart was a great grandfather, not by blood, but by LOVE.

He was preceded in death by Stuart Arnold, Sr. and Ruth Forde. Survivors include: his beloved wife, Virginia Forde; family, Carmen & Don Fratus, Louie & Sandra Avilez, and Mike Avilez & Roweena MacKay; grandchildren, Si & Renee Hanna, Donny & Roxanne Fratus, Danny & Kyla Fratus, Sidnee Avilez, and Sam Avilez; and great grandchildren, Lainey, Liv, Colt, Forde, Jolie, and Fletcher.

The family would like to send a special thank you to family and friends who have been a part of his life in California and Texas. Stuart will be missed by us all.
