Steve Walker

Mark Stephen Walker passed away on the morning of February 10,2025  after a year long battle with medical issues. 

Steve was born in Waco, Texas and worked the majority of his life in dry wall. There was none better; at the job, and he was proud of his work. 

In 1984 Steve married the love of his life; Jana, and they formed an everlasting alliance. Their love for each other was evident to all around. Steve and Jana never had children of their own, but they helped raise many nieces and nephews. 

Steve lived his life unapologetically, never turning his back on anyone in need and loving friends & family unconditionally. 

Steve was preceeded in death by Jana, who was waiting for him with open arms. He was also proceeded by his parents, Roy Lee & Martha Beatrice Walker and his brother Kenny who he missed tremendously. 

He is survived by sisters Pat Duke, Loretta (Sam) Willis, Connie (Owen) Bickford and brother Roy Walker. He is also survived by aunts Clydie (Henry) Baker & Linda (Travis) Pickens, BIL's James (Rene) Masiongale & Jeff Masiongale, many nephews & nieces, great nephews & nieces, cousins and dear friends(one of which; Kay Laurent, that was like a sister). 

There will be a memorial service on Saturday February 22nd, 11:00am, at River City Church, 3015 Robinson Drive, Waco. 

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a pet shelter as Steve loved his animals and his dog Scooter was always by his side.
