Steve Bowen

Steve Bowen, 57, of Waco, passed away July 29, 2013. Graveside services at Robinson Cemetery are set for Friday, August 2, 2013 at 10 a.m. Visitation at the Funeral Home will be from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, August 1, 2013. There will be a memorial service following the interment at Christian Life Church which is located at 3015 Robinson Dr, Waco, Texas, 76706.

Steve was born in Anderson, SC on May 15, 1956 to Frank and L.E. Bowen. He grew up and attended schools in Anderson before moving to Waco, TX in 1984 to be close to his sister Sandra and better his life. He moved back to Anderson, SC in 1991 to be close to his family, and would remain there for twelve years before returning to Waco. Steve was ever the entrepreneur and always dreamed of starting up and owning his own business. He loved his family, loved to fish and often talked about doing so with his son Steve, and was a member of Christian Life Church where he was welcomed with open arms into the church family.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Frankie Harbart and Randy Harbart; and sisters, Melanie Saxton and Sue Birdette.

He is survived by his son, Steve Bowen Jr. and wife Nicole; daughters, Amanda Bowen and Stephanie Trueblood and husband Eric; grandchildren, Eric Trueblood Jr. and Brianna Trueblood; brother, Jimmy Harbart; sisters, Diane Bray and Sandra Walton.
