Stanley Shilling

Stanley Keith Shilling age 60, of Waco passed away Sunday January 20, 2013 at a local hospital with his family at his side. Graveside Services will be 11AM Wednesday January 23, 2013 at Waco Memorial Park with Ernie Christie officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8PM Tuesday January 22, 2013 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.

Stan was born on May 24, 1952 in Waco, Texas to Jack and Wanda Shilling. He graduated from Waco High School, and then received his associate’s degree in Mental Health from McLennan Community College. He was an avid sports fan and played baseball many years in the Waco community as a gifted pitcher. He had a great love of music and enjoyed singing and playing his guitar. He served in the U.S. Army from 1975-1978 in Germany. He was currently employed at the Heart of Texas Region MHMR.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Shilling.

Stan is survived by his mother, Wanda Shilling, daughter Casey Shilling, grandson Austin Shilling, sisters Kelly Parnell and husband Mike, and Kimberly West and husband Robert , and niece Ashley West all of Waco.
