Biography

Stacey Jean McCaig age 35, of China Spring passed away Friday March 15, 2013 at a local nursing facility. Funeral Services will be 10AM Tuesday March 19, 2013 at Central United Methodist Church with Rev. Brad Brittain officiating. Interment will follow at China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8PM on Monday March 18, 2013 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.

Stacey was born on August 19, 1977 at Hillcrest Baptist Hospital to William and Lois McCaig. Stacey was a fun loving, caring, and strong willed person. She was an active participant in her church, Relay for Life, and Texas Special Olympics. She worked at Taco Bell for several years where she learned to support herself. She was very independent and loved to watch wrestling. She was a huge Baylor Bears fan and enjoyed watching and talking about the various games. She loved to shop and take trips through Cameron Park and look at the scenery.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois McCaig and her grandmother, Betty Raines. Maternal grandmother,Nora Dalrymple. Paternal grandfather, Marvin McCaig Sr.

Stacey is survived by her father William McCaig and wife Jan McCaig. She is also survived by sister Betty Price and husband Roger Price, brother, Daniel McCaig and wife Laura McCaig, brother, Dustin “Possum” Uptmore and wife Mary Uptmore. Step sister, Wendy Curtner and husband Walker Curtner, step brother, Brian Everett and wife Joanna Everett. She was also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

The family would like to thank Westview Manor Nursing in McGregor and Providence Hospice for their wonderful and loving care. They would like to also thank MHMR for all their help.
