Sierra went to be with the angels on Monday, February 1, 2021. While she only lived 12 short years, her smile and laughter will be remembered for a lifetime by all who knew and loved her.
Sierra was born January 16, 2009 in Weatherford, Texas. She lived most of her life with her grandmother, Arlene Scott. She was a 6th grader at LaVega Intermediate School. She loved to help other people and had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her 3 dogs Roxy, Buttercup, and Popcorn. She also enjoyed having her Nanny fix her hair, playing Roblox, putting on makeup and participating in gymnastics.
Sierra left behind many loving friends and family. She is survived by her brother Shawn Gray; “Nanny”, Arlene Scott, parents Michael Gray and Jennifer Gray, friends and relatives, Lisa Latham, Robert, Hoppe, Leighla Hoppe, Jessica Hoppe, Megan Rosenbook, Barbara Roscher and many others.
Although it takes such small space to write of such a short life, there is no question as to how much Sierra will be missed by those who cared for her.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Drive, on Thursday February 4, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. and will be officiated by Wayne Williams of Renew Church in Waco. Masks and social distancing will be required.
“Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.” Psalm 127:3
Lord, cover us with your wings of love and grant our family and friends the peace that surpasses all understanding during this trying moment as we mourn the loss of Sierra. Heal our broken hearts and bind our wounds. Remind us of your promises about heaven and eternity, for we know that our Sierra is safe in your presence right now.
