Shirley Bufkin

Shirley E. Bufkin age 76, of Waco went to be with her Lord and Savior after a long battle with Alzheimer's and Parkinson’s Wednesday February 22, 2012. Visitation will be 6 to 8PM Thursday February 23 , 2012 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Private Family Graveside services will be at Waco Memorial Park.

Shirley was born on July 31, 1936 in Waco to Bill and Vonnie Dehart. Shirley grew up in Waco and she spent over 30 years sharing her love as a child care provider in Waco at her home. She was more than a devoted wife and mother, family was her life. Her primary focus and joy in life was caring for her sons and loving her grandsons. God blessed her with the biggest heart and we are so thankful to have been blessed with her.

She was preceded in death by her husband I.H. Bufkin and a son James Gregory Bufkin.

Shirley is survived by two sons John Bufkin and Neil Bufkin and his wife Lori; 2 grandchildren Cameron and Landon Bufkin; a brother Art Dehart and family. The family would like to give a special thanks to Wesley Woods staff for their kind and compassionate care.
