Biography

Shirlene Ruth Tidwell age 58, of Waco passed away Tuesday November 20, 2012 at a local nursing facility. Funeral Services will be 2PM Saturday November 24, 2012 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with . Visitation will be prior to the Service from 10AM to 12PM on Saturday.

Shirlene was born on September 1, 1954 in Kaufman, Texas to Deward and Nadine Tidwell. She was a lover of music, blessed with an angelic singing voice she unabashedly shared with the world. She attended La Vega High School and danced on the drill team. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Robinson, singing in the choir and sharing her love of God. Shirlene was passionate about life and making people happy. She always had a smile on her face. Her final years were spent surrounded by loving friends and family, caring nurses, and a wonderful Hospice staff. Shirlene was a much loved woman. She was a loving mother and never failed to express how proud she was of her sons.

She was preceded in death by her father Deward Tidwell, brother Elton Tidwell and her son Brad Griffith.

Shirlene is survived by her loving mother Nadine Hicks, step-father Marvin Hicks, sisters Darlene Towns and Rolane Tidwell, sons Jason Smith, Kristofer Morace, and Justin Morace, daughter-in-law Amanda Morace , grandsons Epic Morace and Christopher Forsythe, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
