Sharon Gwynn Scully

Sharon was born on October 2nd, 1964 in Dallas, Texas. Growing up in Glendale California Sharon enjoyed playing with her friends, going to school and being mentored by her older brother and sisters. Sharon was told that she would never be able to swim so she also quite enjoyed swimming like a little fishy at age 4. In the years leading up to her graduation from Sam Houston High School in 1986 Sharon enjoyed her bowling league and was a multi-year Special Olympian who competed in the 50 yard dash. Following her high school and Olympic accomplishments Sharon enjoyed her job working at Wendy’s fast food restaurant for 17 years, especially the Christmas parties.

Sharon’s greatest passion in life was loving Jesus and reading her bible daily. Friends and family would agree that Sharon was quite possibly the purest, most kind soul on planet Earth. Sharon woke up every day ready to love. Sharon’s second greatest passion? Football. After her daily bible reading it was on to the sports page. Sharon let her family know at the beginning of each season which team she liked. Somehow, some way she picked 5 straight Super Bowl champions before the season started. This year she picked the Rams. Sharon never picked the Dallas Cowboys for some reason.

Sharon is preceded in death by her father Billy Jones. Survivors include her mother Sue Jones, brother Allan Scully, sister Theresa Smith and her husband Brad, sister Suzanne Feltis and her husband Michael,  brother David Kelly and his wife Katie, as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ty, Ryan, Camille, Holly, Onorio, Sam, Brittnie and Danielle for spending quality time with Sharon and making her last year here incredible. In Sharon’s honor and to support the ongoing battle for special needs children the family would suggest visiting Bitty & Beau’s Coffee who in large part employ special needs children and young adults. Also cheer for the Rams.
