Sharon Cowan

Sharon Lynn Cowan, 70, of Waco, passed away Feb. 26, 2017. There will be a visitation with the family from 5:30 to 7 p.m., March 2, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.

Sharon Lynn Thomas Cowan was born on March 31, 1946 in Akron, Ohio to Luther and Mary Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert and Terry Thomas; and son-in-law, David Glenn.

She is survived by her husband, James "Jim" Roberts of Waco; daughter, Kimberly Shawn Glenn of Midland; her son, Kristopher Cowan and wife, Jennifer of Waco; seven grandchildren, Trent Thompson and wife, Allie of New Braunfels, Cody Thompson and wife, Kristin of Midland, Britni Thompson of Midland, Kassie Rendon and husband, Alex of Midland, Trey Thompson of New Braunfels, Lauren and Seth Cowan of Waco; and five great-grandchildren, Presleigh Gutierrez Thompson, Payzlee Rendon, Kynlee Thompson, Lynnox Thompson and Caysen Thompson.

She attended a Business College in Waco and received her Associate's degree. She was retired as a loan officer for Members Choice Federal Credit Union.

As an avid animal lover, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Waco Humane Society.
