Saundra Guralson

Saundra June Guralson, "Sandy" to most that knew and loved her, 69, of Hewitt, Texas passed away March 22,2015, surrounded by the love of her family at Providence Hospital, in Waco, Texas. A celebration of Sandy's life will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 25, 2015 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.

Saundra was born November 22, 1945 in Loraine, Texas to Woodrow and Lou Paul. She married the love of her life Bernard "Bernie" Guralson on February 22, 1964, in Big Spring, Texas. Saundra and Bernard moved to the Waco area to settle in 1967. Saundra had one child "the light of her life" Shanna JaNae Files. Saundra worked for over 40 years as office administrator for Waco Radiology and grew very close to "her Doctors". She loved to read, listen to music and spend quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren and numerous friends.


She was preceded in death by her parents Woodrow and Lou Paul.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years Bernard "Bernie" Guralson; her daughter Shanna JaNae Files and husband, Joel, of Hewitt; grandchildren, Jacob and Jayden Files; sister, Carla Paul of Midland; brother Rick Paul and Vickie of Elm Mott; extended family "daughter" Suzanne and husband, Eric of Lorena; "grandchildren" Bobby, Bryce and Braily; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Texas Home Health, especially her nurses Teri and Mary; 3rd floor staff of Providence Hospital; Fresenius and the staff of Waco West Kidney Center as well as the Nephrologists for taking care of Sandy for so many years. She was greatly loved and will be equally missed by so many.
