Satyanarayana Mutyala

Dr. Satyanarayana Mutyala passed away peacefully on September 1st 2023. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and beloved physician.

He was born in the village Aratlakatta, India in 1946 where he grew up alongside six brothers and one sister. He graduated from Rangaraya Medical College in 1971 and continued his medical training in the United States. He completed his Internal Medicine training at Polyclinic Medical Center in Harrisburg, PA. Dr. Mutyala then moved to Waco where he practiced for 36 years at the Veterans Administration hospital in Waco, Texas until retiring in 2019.

Dr. Mutyala was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was always there for his family, providing them with unconditional love and support. He was particularly close to his siblings and was never happier than being surrounded by his family.

In addition to his family life, Dr. Mutyala was a dedicated and compassionate physician who always put his patients first. He was known for his caring demeanor and meticulous nature. He always went above and beyond for his patients and was very well respected by them.

Aside from his work and family, his true passion was gardening. He loved spending time in his garden, tending to his plants, and watching them grow. Even as his health worsened, his garden still provided him with so much fulfillment.

Dr. Mutyala is survived by his wife of 44 years, Vaidehi; son Rama and fiancé Narn; son Chaitanya and wife Mayuri; grandson Sahil, along with many beloved siblings and extended family.

Thank you to all the friends and family who gave so much help and support for him over the last 3 years. A special thank you to our mother Vaidehi who provided uncompromised selfless care to him during his difficult illness. She filled his days with love and compassion and eased the burden of his disease. Her devotion knew no boundaries.

A memorial service will be, September 3rd, 2023 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home located in Waco, Tx at 10:00 AM.
