Samoila "Sammy" Marton, Jr

Samoila “Sammy” Marton, Jr. was born in Timisoara, Romania on November 8th, 1962 to Samoila Marton Sr. and Maria Marton. He went to be with the Lord on March 31, 2022. Sammy passed surrounded by his children and the love of his life, Sofia Marton.
Sammy grew up in Romania, alongside 12 siblings, for the first 17 years of his life, before he immigrated away from communist rule to America in 1980, with the help of sponsors, Jim and Sharon Drysdale. After living in America for 10 years he met his love, Sofia Dehelean, in California at a church conference, the two married July 28, 1990, spending what would have been 32 years of pain and suffering together (their inside joke).
Sammy and Sofia went on to have 5 children together. Samuel “Josh”, Stephanie, Sonny, Shane, and Samantha. His children will cherish the memories of making sausage, fixing cars, watching and playing soccer, and spending time with his grandkids.
Sammy found joy in many different hobbies and trades. For over 25 years, he was the proud owner of S&M Paint and Body Shop, where he got to know and help so many people. He would go from painting cars, fixing houses, making sausage and mici, cooking for weddings, hunting, fishing, and buying and selling just about anything.
He was a man of God, and he showed it through helping all those around him, through singing songs, and through the joy in which he exuded. He would give you anything if he thought it would help make your life better, even the shirt off his back. He had a soul too beautiful for this world, so the Lord decided to take him home.

He is survived by his loving family;  Wife, Sofia Marton; Sons; Josh, Sonny and wife, Tammy, Shane; daughters; Stephanie and husband, Bogdan Lazau, and Samantha. Grandchildren; Sebastian, Lillian, and Vivian Lazau, and Alice Marton. Mother, Maria Marton; 11 siblings and their spouses; Ilie, Lidia, Iliana (Mica), Luci (Petru), Nellie (Bruce), Daniel (Nicol), Dana (Cosmin), Cornel (Elvira), Stela, Marius (Daniela), and Eve (Christi) and many nieces and nephews. As well as many In-laws and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Samoila Marton Sr., sisters; Mariana and Luminita Marton; brother-in-law Vasile Gorgan; and nephews; Claudiu Gorgan, Christian Marton, and Joey Posteuca; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Petru and Sofia Dehelean. Sister-in-law, Mary Posteuca. Brothers-in-law, Petru Dehelean and Aron Dehelean.
