Rose Marie Buttacavoli Morgan, 83, of Eddy, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015. A funeral Service has been set for 3 p.m., Saturday, May 16, at Johnson Drive Church of Christ in McGregor, Texas with speaker, Kevin Walton and the Rev. Wayne McKamie officiating. Following the service burial will be at Bethany Cemetery in Eddy. A visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 15, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.Rose was born on August 22, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Stephen and Adrain Buttacavoli. Rose was the youngest sibling to 12 sisters and two brothers, who have all preceded her in death. In December of 1964, Rose met a young handsome sailor who was on leave and it was love at first sight. Six weeks later on January 30, 1965, Rose became Danny's bride, where they began a long and loving life together. They had Christ at the center of their marriage that lasted 49 years. Rose was a member of Johnson Drive Church of Christ. Rose enjoyed being with her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved singing, cooking, fishing, shopping, crossword puzzles and playing Bingo at the nursing home.She was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Hogan, who passed away November 2013.Rose is survived by her husband of 49 years, Dan; two sons, Dennis Hogan and Curtis Hogan; three daughters, Donna Hogan, Theresa Robuck, and Stephanie Walton; Rose was blessed with 19 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
