Ronald Joe Stone

Ronald Joe Stone entered into the peace of the Lord on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at the age of 72, at his home in Waco, Texas.  Visitation will be Saturday, October 8, at 1:00, with services following at 2:00, at the Waco Memorial Park Chapel.

Ron was born August 1, 1950 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Clyde M. Stone, Jr. and Betty Stone.  He graduated from Eisenhower High School in Lawton, Oklahoma, in 1968.

Ron Served in the Air Force from 1969 to 1976.  He loved working on F-4 Phantom jets, and served in North Carolina, Germany, and New Mexico.  After leaving the Air Force, Ron lived in Hempstead, Texas, later moving to Waco, Texas to attend TSTC and earned an associate’s degree in airframe mechanics.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his oldest brother Ricky Stone and nephew JR Ivey.

He is survived by former wife Linda Newberry Stone; daughters Donna Shaw and husband Ed, Brenda Skeen and husband Brent, Carolyn Wachsmann and husband Mark; grandchildren Jonathan Shaw and wife Aniya, and Blake Shaw and wife Hailey, Breanna, Braden, and Bradley Skeen, and Andy, Emma and Kara Wachsmann; great-grandchildren Aubrey Price and Grayson Shaw; siblings Becky Hintz and husband Lewis, Melinda Ivey and husband Eddy, and Sam Stone and wife Melody; nieces and nephews Adam Stone, Jennifer Henry, David Stone, Megan Tegenkamp, Amber Walpole, Heath, Cody and Chris Ivey, Isaiah Stone, and former wife Vivian Van Treese Stone.

The family would like to mention a special thanks to the staff members at Fresenius Kidney Care Greenway, Ascension Providence Hospital, Hewitt Senior Care, and Anita at Harbor Palliative Care for their patient and loving care.
