Ronald James Bruton, 75, of Waco, passed away June 4, 2010 at a local nursing home. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 9, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Shuttlesworth officiating. Family visitation will be from 5-7 on Tuesday, June 8, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow with full military honors on Friday, June 11 at 10:45 a.m. at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Ron was born January 12, 1935 in Fort Worth to Robert Vernon and Ray Mary Hoyt Bruton. He served in the United States Air Force and flew 131 sorties while in Korea. He also was involved in delivery of B26s to French Indochina. Ron was a graduate of Arlington State College and a member of the Masonic Tabernacle Lodge No. 1195, Fort Worth, Texas. He retired from the insurance business.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rita Bruton, daughter Georgia Jones-Fuller, son Bryan Addison Bruton and wife Vanessa, three granddaughters, Brittanny Jones, Carissa and Lillie Bruton, brother Robert and wife Melanie Bruton and other loving family and friends.
