Ron Carr

Ronald "Ron" E. Carr, 66, passed away Wednesday September 3, 2014. The Rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home with his memorial service following.

Ron was born July 08, 1948 in Akron, OH. Ron joined and served in the Marine Corps after high school. During his time in the Marines, Ron served three tours in Vietnam from 1966-1970. Ron earned and received numerous military awards for his service. After serving his county for 20 years and following his retirement from the military, Ron became a police officer. Ron loved his service as a peace officer and finally retired in 2005 from Hewitt Police Department. He enjoyed spending his time with friends and his brothers at the Hewitt VFW Post 6008. Ron loved making and sharing his music with his friends and family. He was loved by so many. Ron was a very strong man, a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend. His character and love will live forever through those who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Roxie Good.

Ron is survived by his wife, Olivia Carr; children, Kimberly Prater, Jared Bonner and wife, Allie, and Bridgette Jordan and husband, William; grandchildren, Robert, Tanya, Randy, Andrew, and Bailee; Great Grandchild, Belladonna; parents, Paul and Joyce Carr; brother, Fred Good; and sisters, Beth Ann Morris and husband Matthew, Jeannie McElwain, and BJo Ferry.
