On May 17, 2021, Robert Bryant Todd, loving husband, father, and PaPaw joined our Heavenly Father at the age of 71. Robert was born on November 7, 1949 to Robert Todd and Dorothy Collier in Waco, Texas. He served our country in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1978. He spent a majority of his service in Keflavik, Iceland, where he met his soulmate and the love of his life. He married his best friend, Theodora "Teddy" Sveinsdottir on May 17, 1975. Robert's greatest blessing was the partnership created and strengthened for 46 years to the day, with Teddy. He truly loved her with his entire heart and soul until death do them part, as they always took the mentality of "us against the world" to function as one. Their love and bond is such a rarity in this world, and it was his greatest treasure. They raised two wonderful children together, Dorothy and Ryan.
Robert was a country man who had a passion for the outdoors and a love for hunting and fishing. He and Teddy spent many years camping, fishing, and boating with their children, instilling his same passion for the outdoors in them both. Robert had very close relationships with both of his children. He taught his daughter, Dorothy, how to be a strong, outspoken leader and the value of life balance between family and work. They often spent time on a near daily basis just conversing about family and life, or to just watch a casual episode of Andy Griffith or Popeye together. As his children grew older, he had developed another best friend in Ryan, as the two spent many years fishing and hunting together. Though Robert had a passion for the outdoors, he had a deeper passion in his bond with his son, his fishing buddy, his hunting buddy, another best friend for life.
Robert worked at Texas Instruments, along with Teddy, from 1978 to 1998, where he and his wife developed many friendships and bonds for life. He was a production supervisor and a true leader who was known for his servant leadership style and incredible work ethic. Robert took great pride in his work and team, teaching his impeccable work ethic into his two children along the way. He was often heard saying, "You take care of your team and your team will take care of you". He truly enjoyed the fellowship and bond with his T.I. family.
Robert is preceded in death by his grandparents, who helped raise him, George and Stella Collier, his father, Robert, and his nephew Chris Todd. He is survived by his loving wife, Teddy, his children, Dorothy and her husband Sean Sanders, and Ryan and his wife Crystal Todd, his four grandchildren, Caitlyn Graves, Bryant Sanders, Addyson Todd, Tyler Sanders, his great-granddaughter Kynzleigh Graves, his mother Dorothy, his brothers, Dell Todd and Mark Todd, his sister, Leigh Ann Devers and her husband, Rick and his niece Kelleigh Chapman and her husband Chase and their son Cash.
