Robert (Bob) Pritchett

July 27, 1929 — November 2, 2012

Robert (Bob) Eugene Pritchett, 83, was born on July 27, 1929, in Wolfe, Oklahoma, and died on Friday, November 2, 2012, at his home in Waco, Texas. Funeral Services will be 2PM Monday November 5, 2012 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Gray officiating. Interment will follow at Waco Memorial Park Cemetery.

“And I give unto them eternal life, they shall never perish and no one shall pluck them out of my hand.” John 10:28. Robert grew up in the oil patch of the Phillips Petroleum Company Naval Reserve in the Osage Hills of Oklahoma. He went to Naval Reserve Elementary School near Fairfax, Oklahoma, and went on to graduate from Fairfax High School in 1947. Upon high school graduation,Robert went to Draughon’s Business School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and upon completionwas employedfrom 1948 to 1985 at Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville, Oklahoma,becoming a Joint Interest Auditor with “E&P,” Exploration and Production. He served two years active duty with the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was an active member at First Baptist Churchin Bartlesville, Oklahoma, for 52 years. Robert married his loving wife and best friend, Wilma Jean Martin, on September 1, 1950.They have been married for 62 years. Robert and Wilma retired to Waco, Texas, in 2000, to be close to their children and grandsons. They have been members of First Baptist Church, Woodway, for twelve years. They are members of the Oasis Sunday School Class (Older Adults still in Service).

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Jean Martin Pritchett, and daughters and husbands, Teresa Jean and Ruben Angeles of DeSoto Texas, Tamara Lynn and Jack Louis Pavey of Plano, Texas, and son Martin Robert Pritchett of Waco, Texas, and grandsons, John Robert Pavey and Nathan Robert Pritchett. He is also survived by his nephews Mike Pritchett and family, Pete Pritchett and family, Donald Pritchett and family, and niece Tammy Jo Pritchett and family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ida Amelia Street Pritchett, and dad, Elmer Pritchett, and brothers, Lawrence, Bill, and John Pritchett.

The family would like to thank Providence Hospice for their kind care of Bob especially Gay Fox, Cindy Fraiser, Deborah Simcox, Barry Miller, Brenda Chaney, and Dr. Michael Jahrmarkt, as well as all the staff that helped in so many ways. We also want to thank Dr. Edward Cooney for the support he gave to the family. The family would also like to thank DeAnn Martin of Nurses Unlimited for her tireless care of Bob.
