Robert Ogilvie age 86, of Waco, Texas passed away and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 19, 2011, at his residence with his family by his side. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2011, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Gray officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2011, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.
Robert was born December 21, 1924 in Lynn, Massachusetts. He enlisted in the Army and served in World War II. After his tenure in the Army, he moved to Waco, Texas, where he became an insurance agent. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Woodway. Some of his favorite activities included coaching little league baseball, watching the Lady Bears basketball team, and discussing current events with his coffee shop friends. Robert enjoyed vigorously and fervently beating everyone at a game of cards--Gin Rummy and Bridge.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Alice Ogilvie.
Robert is survived by his daughters, Diana Ogilvie and Sandra Frederick; his son, Chuck Ogilvie; and his grand children, Shawn Frederick, Kayla Ogilvie and Connor Ogilvie.
