Robert Luttrell

Robert Alfred Luttrell, age 80, of Waco passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016. According to his wishes he will be cremated and a memorial service to honor his life will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00to 11:00 am prior to the service.

Bob was born September 19, 1936 in Dallas, Texas to Walter and Ella Josephine Luttrell. He grew up in Justin, Texas, north of Ft. Worth, where he attended high school at Consolidated High School. Bob then attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas for one year, while playing basketball on a scholarship. He then joined the Air Force, and served overseas in Korea as a Korean translator. Bob then finished college at North Texas State University in Denton, Texas with a degree in psychology. Professionally, he has had a pest control business for over 50 years, in which he continued to work until his death. Bob enjoyed deer hunting with his brothers, sons, and nephews, exercising, and watching any sport on television. He was the youngest Worshipful master ever elected at Masonic Lodge # 92 in Waco; and was also a member of the Shrine.

Preceding him in death include his parents, brothers Don Luttrell and Dale Luttrell, and nephews Rob Luttrell and Donald Luttrell.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Carolyn Luttrell of Waco. Also in the family are two sons, Matt Luttrell of Colorado and Thomas Luttrell of Dublin, Ireland, stepsons Berry Carden of Amarillo and Larry Roberts of Frisco, and step daughter, GiGi Morgan of Moody. Also surviving him includes nephews Bill Luttrell of Cedar Hill, Dave Luttrell of Allen, and Jerry Luttrell of Duncanville, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bob was loved by all, and we knew he loved us.
