Robert W. (Bob) Hagar passed away, on the morning of June 10, 2013, after courageously battling cancer for several years. It was Bob’s wish that his body be cremated and to have no formal memorial service. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Bob was born on September 16, 1937, in Abilene, TX, to Truman and Mozelle Hagar. He attended schools in Abilene and Waco. He married Linda (Gaines) Hagar on September 19, 1958. Bob was a faithful employee of Behren’s Inc. for 37 years and after several years of retirement, he went to work for O’Reilly Auto Parts, where he enjoyed working until his death. He was an avid Baylor fan and enjoyed many pleasurable years, at the lake, with past and present friends of “ F “ Dock.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Truman and Mozelle Hagar.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Hagar; son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Kay Hagar; son, Nolan Hagar; daughter, Tobe Hagar; a sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Charles Jones; two grandchildren, Daman and Alexa Hagar; and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Carl Chakmakjian and the entire staff of Texas Oncology, along with Dr. Jackson Walker and Nurse Gayle for their care and concern.
Memorials may be made, in his honor, to the Association of Retarded Citizens (ARC) at P.O. Box 3367, Waco, TX 76707 and to the American Cancer Society.
