Robert “Bob” Erger passed away on Oct. 3, 2014. Bob was born on 10/22/1952 to Lois (Foster) and George Erger in Brookings, South Dakota. He was their third child but the first born son out of ten siblings. He married his high school sweetheart Ruthann Rhoe Aug. 1973 in Corinna, MN. Their son, Jeremy was born Oct. 28, 1975 in St. Cloud, MN. They moved to Mesa, AZ where for 18 years they had their own business remodeling mobile homes. Ruthann died in June 1996. He then met the second love of his life, Sonia Nelson in July 1998 in California. Bob and Sonia moved from California to Texas in June 2000 and continued to share their life’s adventures always with a song. He loved to Karaoke, playing poker and golf, not necessarily in that order.
He was preceded in death by his father George and his wife Ruthann.
He was survived by his mother Lois, son Jeremy, his special lady Sonia, 6 sisters Patricia Settje, Sun City, AZ, Susan Settje, Grand Junction, Co, Barbara Kenney, Maple Grove, MN, Lori Erger, Maple, Lake, MN, Colette Van Vleet, St. Cloud, MN, and Rebecca Sietz, Fargo, ND and 3 brothers John, Kimball, MN, Daniel, Brighton, CO and Mark, Chesapeake, VA., and numerous Aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. His “little” boys as he called them, Chewie, Soldjer and Romeo miss him dearly.
Bob requested that no formal service be performed but wanted his friends and family to join in a celebration of Bob’s life which will be held at “811” Pub on October 19th at 7:00 PM, 811 Wooded Acres Road, Waco. He asked to be cremated and have his ashes scattered in Arizona.
