Robert “Bud” Clendennen, on April 27, 2021, surrounded by loved ones, left this earthly world to go Home to be with his Savior. Graveside services and interment will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Chapel Hill Memorial Park with Rev. John Palmer of Waco First Assembly of God officiating.
Bud was born July 7, 1928, in McGregor, Texas, the son of Rev. Earl and Bessie (Holt) Clendenen. On June 4, 1949, he married Neta Blankenship. They were blessed with 4 children, Michael, Judy, Dave and Terry. He was a man of deep faith and his life reflected his love of the Lord. He was a man of many talents. Bud spent many hours hunting and fishing, and greatly enjoyed sharing that passion with others. He also enjoyed poetry and could recite poems he learned as far back as his early days of school.
After the loss of his beloved wife Neta in 2005, he was blessed to find someone else to share his golden years. He married Betty Daily in 2007. Together they blessed and were blessed by both families.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents, wife Neta, second wife Betty and sister Joyce Cole.
Survivors include his brother Jerry Clendennen, sisters Margie Duncan and Wanda Martin, daughter Judy Heath of Dallas; sons, Michael Clendennen and wife Helaine of Milton, Florida, Dave Clendennen and wife Sue of Hewitt, Terry Clendennen and wife Shirley of Waco, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by the Daily family, Betty’s children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who brought joy to him these last 14 years.
He fought the good fight, now he has finished the race, and through it all, he kept the faith.
