Ricky Robert Williams

Ricky Robert Williams passed away in Lorena, Texas on July 28, 2024 surrounded by his family. 

Ricky was born August 21, 1944 in Waxahachie, Texas. He was a member of Waxahachie High School class of 1962. On June 1, 1963 he married Sherry Gardiner Williams in Ennis, Texas. They just celebrated 61 years of marriage. 

He was in the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam. He was employed for many years with Interstate Brands and retired from Reliable Life Insurance after 27 years. 

Ricky is preceded in death by his parents, Otis (Pete) and Naomi Ivy Williams and four brothers Smack, Bryan, Jerry, and Johnny and four sisters, Joyce, Betty, Jolene, and Mary Ann. 

He is survived by his wife, Sherry, his daughters, Lesley Williams (Bill), and Kelley Horton (Jesse). Grandchildren; James Heard Jr (Ashley); Shelton Sears (Kassy); Hannah Pechacek (Noah); Kayley Horton; Garrison Horton; Aubrey Owen (Bryce); Kailey Stearns. Great grandchildren; Avery, Haidyn, Reese, Jaxen, Eden, Bowen, Jase and Maia. 

Pallbearers will be: James Heard, Jr., Shelton Sears, Garrison Horton, Bill Stearns, Jesse Horton, and Noah Pechacek 

Ricky was a people person and never met a stranger. Before his health began to decline, he enjoyed time with the family; traveling; golfing; fishing and hanging out at the coffee shop with friends. He will be missed by many.
