Ricky Hearron, 65, of Waco, went peacefully to be with the Lord on August 24, 2022.
The family will have a graveside service at 10:30am, Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Rock Hill Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, TX with Don Duffee officiating.
Ricky was born May 15, 1957, in Clarksville, Texas to Melvin “Honeyboy” and Hazel (Duffee) Hearron. He attended schools in Talco, Winfield, and Mt. Vernon. After high school, Ricky joined the United States Army.
Ricky married Joyce Arnett on June 16, 1979. They were married for 9 years and welcomed 2 beautiful daughters, Kristen, and Lori.
During his life, Ricky worked for Gifford Hill, TRW, Reda Pump, Pilgrims among a few others. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with the people he loved the most.
He loved the Lord, and he enjoyed talking to others about him. He always had a smile on his face and was always able to make you laugh. He never met a stranger, and he absolutely loved his granddaughter, Kaylee, with all of his heart.
Ricky is Preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Hazel, grandparents Ira Lawson and Lenora Hardt Hearron; Douglas and Leona Moore Duffee and Niece Heather Hearron.
Ricky is survived by his daughters; Kristen Mason of Waco, Lori Freeman and husband Clay of Eddy, and granddaughter Kaylee Freeman, brother Dewayne Hearron and wife Melody of Keene, sister Donna Poole and husband Arnie of Wisconsin, brother Lynn Hearron of Talco, nephews Justin Henderson and Blake Hearron as well as numerous aunts and uncles.
The family would like to specially thank Dr. Karan and the special staff who cared for Ricky at the VA Hospital in Waco, they were all more than wonderful during these hard months.
