“Keith” to his friends and family, was born in Idaho to Rosa Belle Blair and Richard Beckwith. After playing football in H.S. and graduating from the University of Wyoming, Keith moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, and attended the University of New Mexico. He worked for and retired from New Mexico’s Department of Children, Youth, and Families, as a Superintendent. After retiring from the State, he went on to serve his community as its Board President. The quality and dedication with which he served will leave an indelible mark on those who knew and worked with him, and on the many communities which he served.
Keith is survived by his wife, and best friend Kathy Chavez, his daughter, Cory Cano, son-in-law Sal Cano, and his two beloved grandsons, Caleb and Wyatt Cano. He is also survived by daughter, Mari Ames, her husband Bryan, and their daughters, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
We convey our deepest sympathies to his sisters Diane Castleton, and Sheilah Osborne-Reeder, and to his brother Ken Beckwith, their spouses and many children, and grandchildren. Keith will forever be remembered as a kind, loving, and generous person, whose life’s work was dedicated to supporting and helping others improve their quality of life.
May He Rest In God’s Peace
