Richard Earl Woodworth, Jr. 54 of Hewitt went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 4, 2011 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on June 6, 1956 to Richard and Dorothy Woodworth.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of twenty-five years, Olinda of Hewitt; sons, Ivan Woodworth III and Richard Woodworth III, both of Arlington; daughters Mira Woodworth and her fiancé Hayes Hinkle of North Richland Hills, and Michelle Woodworth of Hewitt. Also surviving Richard are his grandchildren Hayley and Julia Woodworth, both of Hewitt, and Kaydence Woodworth of Arlington.
Richard proudly served as a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps from which he honorably retired. Upon retirement, he served as an attorney for the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
He faced many adversities in life with both dignity and integrity. He was a skilled carpenter and enjoyed many hours in his woodshop.
Richard was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and was an inspiration to those who knew him.
