Richard C. Lovorn, 88, of Waco, died on January 14, 2021 at his home residence in Waco. In observance of the current pandemic a private family memorial service is being planned for a later date.
Richard was born October 26, 1932 in Waco, Texas to Henry and Maude (Guess) Lovorn. Growing up in Waco, he graduated from Waco High School. He continued his education obtaining a BA in Accounting from Golden Gate University in California. He met and married Barbara Plemons from Crawford in 1956, moving to Miami, Florida, where his accounting career took them; followed by a move to California's San Francisco Bay Area where he raised his three children before moving back to Texas in 1980.
Richard enjoyed a great card game, golfing and watching college football.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Herman Lovorn; sisters Thelma Aline Smith, and Elizabeth Martin. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara (Plemons) Lovorn, his daughters, Carol Tyler of Austin, Texas, Lynn Duc of Portland, Oregon; son, Blake Lovorn of Axtell, Texas; sister, Joyce Wilkinson of Troup, Texas.
