Richard Netherland Cook

Richard Netherland Cook passed away Tuesday morning March 29th, 2022. at the age of 87.  Graveside services and interment will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 4th, 2022, at Oakwood Cemetery with Kara Leslie officiating.

Richard had been on Kidney Dialysis for the past four and one half years. It takes a very strong courageous person to endure these types of treatments three times a week. He struggled through this process just so he could be with his family for as long as possible.

Richard was a very prominent Home and Commercial Designer in the Waco area since 1958. Everyone loved and knew his work. Richard never used any type of computer equipment to draw his plans. He was strictly old school and a number 2 pencil.

Richard was a member of Lakewood Christian Church as he served as a Deacon and in other capacities as well.

He is survived by his wife Jane of 62 years; children David N. Cook, Cathy Elaine Cook, granddaughters Katelyn Elaine Rodriguez, Kaysi Elizabeth Rodriguez, and great granddaughters Marleigh Amos and  Skylar Williams, as well as one sister Betty (Mills) Rendall of Winnetka, IL.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Salvation Army or one's personal choice.
