Richard Ashley

Richard B. Ashley age 52, of Waco passed away Thursday April 19, 2011 at his home with his family by his side. Funeral Services are 1PM Saturday April 23, 2011 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 6 to 8PM Friday April 22 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.

Richard was born July 12, 1958 in Waco to Travis and Misao Ashley. He was a devoted loving father to his son Bailey. He attended University High School and received a Business Associates Degree from MCC. He was an assistant manager in the shipping department at the “Exchange” Distribution Center in Waco for 22 years. He served in the Navy Reserves Company 84-107 in Waco for 6 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Travis and Misao; a nephew Rodney B. (Corky) Campbell Jr.; paternal grandparents Amos and Myrtle Ashley; maternal grandparents Hideru and Natsuko Fujishima.
Richard is survived by his son Bailey A. Ashley of Hewitt; two brothers Travis B. Ashley and wife Louwana of Hillsboro, and Eldon R. Ashley and wife Tamara of Waco; two sisters Gloria High and husband Boyd of Lorena, and Linda Eastep and husband Joseph of Robinson; six nieces, five nephews, three great nieces and six great nephews; and, his dear Uncle Yutaka Kudo of Japan and his other Uncle Lloyd Ashley.
