Ric Troyer

Rev. Ric Troyer stepped away from this world into the arms of his Savior and Lord Friday November 10, 2017 God saw that you were tired, so he put his arms around you, and whispered,“Come to Me”. With tearful eyes we watched you pass away. A golden heart stopped beating. You will forever be near – you live within our hearts. The only thing you can take with you from this world – is that you LOVED and were LOVED.

Ric was born December 20, 1950 - 66 years ago in Goshen Indiana to Doris Mae Cook Troyer and Ora Troyer. Ric served 10 years in the Navy from 1969 to 1979 as a Data Systems Technician. He worked in the computer industry at Unisys Corporation and retired at Polyton in Elkhart Indiana . He became pastor at Abundant Life Church in Elkhart Indiana and served many years as a police Chaplin in Elkhart before moving to McGregor in 2016. He was an accomplished artist and author, musician, helicopter pilot, and superb wood worker.

Ric will be missed by his Beloved Wife Susan Moon, Daughter Tamara Troyer, granddaughters Brooke, Samantha. Son Brandon Troyer and wife Sarah, granddaughter Britney and all his Friends and his family at Trinity Fellowship Church where he and Susan are members.

Additional family members include, Aunt Joyce Gail Bailey Cook from Goshen, IN living in Rhinelander, WI, her sons, Brian Bailey and Mark and Leonor Bailey; Step Mother, Ethel Troyer; half sister, Janette Nord; half brother, Gerald (Gerry) Lee and wife, Mary Lynn Herman Nord, and their three sons all from Elkhart, IN; Eric Michael Nord, Joshua David and Amanda Nord (Elijah Broc and Alixandria Isabella), and Christopher Raymond and Mandy Nord (Bailey Allen); half sister Connie Nord Gunder from Aurora, CO, her daughter Faun Gunder and Bill Hauptman (Gage Victor) from Lakewood, CO; half brother James (Jim) R. Nord from Oregon City, OR and his three sons, Jeff Nord, Joel Nord, and John Nord.
